Abstract
In this study, we employ the network analysis, principal component analysis (PCA), and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) method to build a predicting model for the popularity of TED talks. We find that Number of Languages impacts the popularity at least 3 times higher than other factors; and publishing the TED Talk during the weekend, especially on Saturday, the ideas could be better spread.
